About LSLC
For over 50 years, Llandudno Surf Lifesaving Club (LSLC) has proudly served the Llandudno community by training and providing skilled, dedicated lifeguards to protect one of Cape Town’s most picturesque beaches.
We are a thriving, passionate club built on excellence, camaraderie, and a deep love for the ocean. Our members are actively involved in every aspect of club life, creating an inclusive, energetic, and welcoming environment.
Llandudno Surf Lifesaving Club is more than just a lifesaving organisation. It is a vibrant and valued part of the Llandudno community. From beach patrols and training sessions to social events and outreach initiatives, our members are at the heart of everything we do. We are proud of our history, passionate about the present, and inspired by the future that lies ahead.
Our Legacy
Founded in 1972, LSLC began with humble roots, operating from a small wooden shack on the shoreline of Llandudno Beach.
While the clubhouse has been modernised over time, it has never lost its original charm. The historic photographs on the walls serve as a proud reminder that although the years have passed, the fun-filled and electric atmosphere remains as strong as ever.
Training Future Lifesavers
Through our Nippers and Junior Lifesaving programmes, we have guided hundreds of young lifesavers in earning their Lifesaving South Africa qualifications.
We are committed to developing confidence, essential lifesaving skills, and a strong sense of responsibility in every young person who becomes part of our club.
