Background to the Lifesaving Club

The Llandudno Surf Lifesaving Club was founded in 1972, originally operating out of a modest wooden shack on Llandudno beach. Since its inception in the club has been an integral part of the Llandudno community. The clubhouse is located on the water’s edge at arguably the most beautiful beach in South Africa. Members are very proud of the fact that no drownings have ever occurred on Llandudno beach while our lifeguards have been on duty.
